WHAT IS IT?

During the MediSlim Plan you will eat a variety of healthy meals designed to achieve a gradual weight reduction while providing you with the essential nutrients you need for good health.

WHAT IS INVOLVED?

Typically, during this program you will lose between 2 and 4 pounds a week.  It is a nutritional plan that you can utilize to not only reach your goal weight but also to maintain your weight loss.  Working with a Nutritionalist you will assess your current eating habits and develop a meal plan that accommodates your personal taste and desired weight goals.  The daily calorie level will be based on your specific metabolic needs as determined by Dr. LaMond.

Dr. LaMond will determine how often you need to be seen by him depending on your current state of health.  Medications may need to be monitored and reduced or eliminated as your health improves and we will work closely with your Primary Care Physician or other Medical Specialists.

You will also attend individual and/or group education sessions where you will develop healthy eating skills, healthy lifestyle strategy and plan for long term maintenance and avoiding relapses.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

This plan focuses on information presented to you in a variety of ways.  Dr. LaMond reviews your health history and complete blood work up to create a plan designed specifically for your needs. The team uses a comprehensive approach to provide a true education in healthy living, empowering you with the ability to make wise choices.  These everyday choices effect how your metabolism and your body perform, so that the foods you eat and the activities you do can work to your advantage.  You will learn information on Nutrition that includes the small differences that add up to success.  You’ll have an ‘energy plan’ designed for you regardless of your limitations or previous activity level.  You’ll identify triggers and plan responses that can greatly influence your ability to make healthy choices.

While low calorie diet plans alone can be used to reduce weight, many people become disillusioned before they reach their goal weight.  Some reduced calorie diets also reduce important nutrients so that even though you lose weight, you are not really becoming healthier.
